Mountain Cottage Soapery Legal Policy

Welcome to Mountain Cottage Soapery. By purchasing products from our website, app, social media pages, or in-person events, you agree to the following terms and conditions.
Product Information and Use
Mountain Cottage Soapery creates handcrafted soaps, bath products, body products, candles, home fragrance products, and related artisan goods.
Because our products are handmade in small batches, slight variations in color, size, shape, scent, texture, and appearance may occur. These variations are normal and do not constitute a defect.
Customers are responsible for reviewing product descriptions and ingredient information before use.
Our products are intended for their stated cosmetic, bath, body, home fragrance, or decorative purposes only. Products should be used according to the instructions provided.
Allergy and Sensitivity Disclaimer
Some products may contain or come into contact with ingredients including, but not limited to, coconut oil, shea butter, mango butter, goat milk, honey, essential oils, fragrance oils, botanicals, colorants, and other naturally derived or cosmetic ingredients.
Customers with allergies, sensitive skin, medical conditions, or known sensitivities should carefully review product ingredients before use.
A patch test is recommended before using a new topical product.
Discontinue use if irritation, redness, discomfort, or an allergic reaction occurs.
Mountain Cottage Soapery products are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or medical condition. Information provided by Mountain Cottage Soapery should not be considered medical advice.
Children and Pets
Certain products may resemble food, candy, desserts, beverages, toys, or other decorative objects. They are not edible unless specifically identified as a food product.
Bath bombs, soaps, candles, wax products, fragrance products, shower steamers, and other bath or home products should be kept out of the reach of unsupervised children and pets.
Adult supervision is recommended when children use bath products.
Candle and Home Fragrance Safety
Customers are responsible for following all safety instructions provided with candles, wax products, room sprays, and other home fragrance products.
Never leave a burning candle unattended. Keep candles away from children, pets, drafts, and flammable materials.
Decorative items, packaging, straws, paper decorations, ribbons, or other non-wax accessories must be removed before lighting when instructed.
Returns and Damaged Products
Due to the personal and hygienic nature of our handcrafted products, all sales are final. Mountain Cottage Soapery does not accept returns or exchanges.

Please include your order information and photographs of the damaged product and shipping packaging.
When shipping damage can be reasonably verified, Mountain Cottage Soapery will provide a replacement for the damaged item when available. If an identical replacement is unavailable, an appropriate substitute or other resolution may be offered.
Shipping
Mountain Cottage Soapery is not responsible for delays caused by shipping carriers, weather conditions, incorrect customer addresses, or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Customers are responsible for providing accurate shipping information when placing an order.
Handmade Product Variations
Each Mountain Cottage Soapery product is handcrafted. Variations between batches are expected and may include differences in color, scent intensity, design, pattern, weight, or appearance.
Product photographs are intended to represent our products as accurately as possible; however, colors may appear differently depending upon lighting, photography, screens, and individual product variations.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Mountain Cottage Soapery shall not be responsible for injuries, allergic reactions, property damage, or other losses resulting from misuse of a product, failure to follow instructions or warnings, use of a product despite a known allergy or sensitivity, or use of a product for a purpose for which it was not intended.
Nothing in this policy is intended to exclude or limit rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.
Intellectual Property
The Mountain Cottage Soapery name, product names, photographs, product descriptions, graphics, designs, logos, written content, and other original materials are the property of Mountain Cottage Soapery unless otherwise indicated.
Content may not be reproduced, copied, distributed, or used for commercial purposes without prior written permission.
Pricing and Product Availability
Prices and product availability may change without notice.
Because many Mountain Cottage Soapery products are handmade in limited quantities, products may occasionally become unavailable after an order is placed. In such circumstances, the customer will be contacted regarding an appropriate replacement or refund for the unavailable item.
Mountain Cottage Soapery reserves the right to correct typographical errors, pricing errors, product description errors, or other inadvertent mistakes.
Governing Law
These terms shall be governed by applicable United States federal law and the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Changes to This Policy
Mountain Cottage Soapery reserves the right to modify this Legal Policy when necessary. Any changes will become effective when the revised policy is posted.
